Stefania Pascarella, M.S., CCC-SLP

A graduate of New York University, Stefania is originally from Colombia but has spent the majority of her life in the U.S., allowing her to become bilingual (English and Spanish). Her passion for her work stems from her growing up with a brother with Down Syndrome in which she had the opportunity to interact with many Speech-Language Pathologists and witness firsthand the profound impact professionals made on both her brother and her family as a whole.

Stefania currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Health, and is trained in Natural Language Acquisition (Gestalt Language Learning). She has experience treating the pediatric population with a variety of speech and language disorders and etiologies including, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and other cognitive and developmental delays. During the course of her career, Stefania has developed a passion for taking a holistic approach to communication. She believes every child deserves an individualized treatment plan using evidence-based approaches while also creating a fun and memorable experience. Stefania enjoys interacting with people from different backgrounds and learning more about their culture in hopes of better serving families with cultural differences.

During her free time, she loves spending time with her two children, Cassidy and Kevin, and her wonderful husband, Anthony. She also enjoys leading an active lifestyle through exercising and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Speech and Language Therapy

Brittany Kennedy, M.S., CF-SLP

A graduate of Tennessee State University, Brittany grew up locally in Gallatin, TN.  Her love for Speech Language Pathology developed throughout her early work experiences in daycares and as a nanny, where her interaction with children presenting a variety of developmental and cognitive delays sparked her passion for speech and language therapy.

Brittany holds a Master’s of Science Degree and a provisional license through the TN Department of Health (C.F. SLP). 

She has experience with the pediatric population in the clinical setting, school system, and teletherapy. Brittany strives to customize every treatment plan to meet the needs of the individual family and child to best support further communication. Brittany is excited to join a team of therapists that interact with a variety of different backgrounds and cultures.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Chris and their daughter Saylor. Brittany enjoys camping and baking! 

Occupational Therapy

Caitlin Barnickel, OTD, OTR/L

A graduate of Belmont University’s Occupational Therapy program, Caitlin is originally from California, but was drawn to the south to attend University of Kentucky where she earned her undergraduate degree. Her love for pediatric Occupational Therapy started from her early work experience as a swim instructor for an adaptive aquatics program. She is extremely passionate about helping children engage in their meaningful, everyday activities.

Caitlin has extensive experience working with the pediatric population in adaptive aquatics and within the school system. She has familiarity working with a variety of diagnoses including, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. Caitlin brings a rich balance of evidence-based practice, fun, and creativity into all of her treatment plans to best serve each individual child and their family. She is looking forward to working with the children and families of Middle TN.

Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys traveling, being outdoors, cheering on UK, and spending time with her friends and family.

Caitlin holds a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and a license through the TN Department of Health. 

Speech and Language Therapy

Marina Coakley, M.S., CF-SLP

A graduate from University of South Carolina, Marina is from North Carolina but moved to Tennessee in 2020. She began working with children with autism as a registered behavior technician while pursuing her Masters of Science degree. She worked in the schools as an SLP-Assistant providing treatment for children with language and articulation disorders.

Marina has a provisional license with the TN Department of Health for her CFY in speech language pathology.

She has experience working in clinical settings, school-based, in-home therapy, and skilled nursing facilities. This includes experience with diagnosis of autism, developmental delay, and cognitive delays. She is looking forward to working alongside the therapists and families of UTC.

In Marina’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Jeremiah, friends and family, and traveling.
